WHAT'S HOLDING YOU BACK?

What holding you back from getting everything you've ever wanted in life? 

 

For me it has been that really nasty little voice in my head saying "YOUR NOT GOOD ENOUGH". It's a voice I remember hearing for as long as I can remember. In school I was a day dreamer, never really asked questions in class and just about scrapped by with everything.
I would get super embarrassed whenever I was asked a question in class and would spend the rest of that class telling myself what an idiot I was.

 

It affected nearly every aspect of my life and would make me withdraw from thing and torture myself about how I would never be enough. I would get so low and use alcohol as my crutch to numb the pain I was feeling inside.

 

It took me a long time until I realised something needed to change. I went searching for some answers and began asking for help. I've spent the last 10 years working on improving my mindset and learning new techniques to allow me to live life to the full. 

 

It been an interesting journey with tonnes of ups and downs, lots of adventure, trying new things, reading alot and learning more about who I am and what I want from life.

 

I'm sharing this so that if anyone else has felt the same you know your not alone. 

 

So what are the main things I did that made the most difference: 

 

--- Speak to someone - Friend, Family or contact one of the great services offered around the country. 

 

--- Start exercising - if your not feeling ready to hit the gym start by getting out for a walk. 

 

--- Set small achievable goals - this could be as simple as making your bed every morning for the next week. 

 

--- Improve your nutrition -  cut the crap. Avoid the sweets and biscuits in the office, clear out your presses and get rid of the temptations.

 

--- Meditate - download the headspace app and take 10 mins each day.
