7 Ways To Getting Unstuck

Hands up if you’ve ever been stuck in a rut? You know, going through the motions, day-in, day-out, feeling flat and unmotivated to the point it gets you down? 

 

The important thing to know is YOU'RE NOT ALONE! I speak to women everyday who tell me they feel stuck. Struggling through life knowing the changes they need to make but finding it completely impossible to change anything.

 

The fact is, that everyone, at some point, will experience this feeling of helplessness because sometimes, the thought of changing your circumstance seems harder than doing nothing.

 

So we let ourselves stay in the rut. We stay stuck because we’re afraid of change, afraid we’ll fail or regret our decision. We fill our head with limiting beliefs which make us believe there is no hope for us. We make up excuses that we don't have time, it's easier for other people, it will never happen so why bother trying etc.. 

 

So, instead of doing nothing, here’s my 7 Way's To Getting Unstuck. 

 

1. Identify your sticking points & visualise your ideal day..

 

Become conscious of the beliefs that are holding you back. Write them down and question each one. If time is one of these beliefs ask yourself what do I do with my time. Map out your average day right now.

Now take some time to visualise your ideal day. What would need to change for this to become reality? 

 

2. Change your mindset.

 

Schedule time every day for high priority tasks

 

You now know what your ideal day would look like. It's now time to schedule the task that will help you achieve these changes. 

 

3. Set small achievable goals each week

 

Everything cannot change all together so set small achievable goals each week that will help you over time achieve the absolute ideal day. 

 

4. Create new habits and behaviours

 

Take 10 mins daily to meditate and positive affirmations

 

Try getting up 10mins earlier each morning. Download a meditation app like HeadSpace or Insight Timer and do a morning meditation or practise positive affirmations. (I'll be talking more about this later in the week so check back in on my blogs.)

 

5. Know WHY you want to become unstuck

 

Knowing your WHY is one of the most important things when making any changes. Dig deep and write it down. This will be the thing you will turn to when you have a wobble and feel like giving up. Your WHY will be what motivates you to keep going. 

 

6. Believe you can and you will 

 

Cut out self doubt and the fear you can't. Ask yourself these questions

Why can't I?

Have I tried? 

 

Be more optimistic and give things a try and then try again and again until you can. 

 

7. Make it fun 

 

Get your family involved, make a game out of it, compete with yourself and give yourself some fun rewards that don't cost you your results.
